Girls Golf

DISTRICT TOURNAMENT

Division II at Pipestone: Mailiis Simovart fired off a 79 and Sydney Wesson an 80 to help Ben Logan advance to the state tournament. Alter, led by Fiona Hoskins with an 81, also qualified. Makenna Jones of National Trail and Gabby Woods of Clinton-Massie split medalist honors to advance individually. It marks a fourth consecutive appearance in the state tournament for Jones.

SECTIONAL TOURNAMENT

Division I at Yankee Trace: Meha Pandya led the field with a 70 to help Centerville take home a sectional title. Xenia, led by runner-up Olivia Wagner’s 76, finished second to make a first-ever district appearance. Greenville and Tippecanoe also qualified. Individually Sarah O’Connor of Beavercreek, Samantha McLaughlin of Bellefontaine, Meredith Goecke of Carroll and Abby Kraft of Oakwood each advanced.

SECTIONAL TOURNAMENT

Division I at Miami Whitewater: Fairfield shot a 314 to move on to districts. Mason Hamilton and Jared Finkle each carded a 77 to lead the way. Logan Hollander of Ross, Alex Gomia of Monroe and Dylan Slager of Talawanda qualified individually.

Division I at Sharon Woods: Joe Wilson was the runner-up with a 74 and Peyton Houston added a 75 to help Lakota East place second and qualify.

Boys Soccer

Springfield Shawnee 2, London 1: Andrew Vest and Aidan Wills each netted a goal for Springfield Shawnee.

Girls Soccer

Alter 2, Chaminade Julienne 0: Anna Sweeney and Yaa Darkwa each drove in a goal and keeper Kassidy Roshong notched the shutout for Alter.

Bellefontaine 5, Tecumseh 3: Daja Wilson had a pair of game-tying goals and Caitlyn Shumaker scored the final two in a rally win for Bellefontaine.

Centerville 1, Springboro 0: Braelen Devoe scored a header goal in the final minutes of play to give Centerville a ninth consecutive win.

Lehman Catholic 2, Lima Central Catholic 0: Rylie McIver scored the first goal and assisted Lindsey Magoteaux on the second to help Lehman Catholic improve to 10-1-1.

Piqua 5, Greenville 0: Grace Forness tallied a pair of goals to pace Piqua.

West Liberty-Salem 6, Madison Plains 0: Riley Brown tallied a goal and an assist and keepers Delaney Wade and Amanda Domachowski split on the shutout for WLS.

Girls Volleyball

Lebanon 3, Springfield 0: Lebanon clinched the Greater Western Ohio Conference National Division title with the win.

Sidney 3, West Carrollton 0: Faith Bockrath tallied eight kills with 29 assists and Abby Nuss added 17 digs with three aces for Sidney, which clinched at least a share of the Miami Valley League Valley Division title.

Troy 3, Tippecanoe 2: Troy took the final set 15-11 to hand Tippecanoe its first loss.

Urbana 3, Indian Lake 1: Emily Skelley chipped in 17 kills with 11 digs, Maleah Murphy added 18 digs with five aces and Ella Taylor 40 assists for Urbana, which rallied to take the final two sets.
