ALL-SCHOLASTICS

REED BODLEY, LINCOLN-SUDBURY

The sophomore placed fifth with a 1-over 73 at the MIAA Division 1 State Individual championship, helping the Warriors capture the state team title. He also won the individual and team titles at the Cape Cod High School Invitational, while taking a third in the Challenge Cup Invitational.

ERIC BOULGER, XAVERIAN

The Catholic Conference MVP shot a 75 in the Division 1 state championship, placing eighth overall. The junior helped guide the Hawks to the Div. 1 South sectional title and a runner-up spot in the state. An honor roll student, the 2018 state champion has verbally committed to UConn.

WILL CAMPBELL, NAUSET

The two-time Atlantic Coast League and one -time Cape & Islands All-Star was under par in six matches during the regular season. The junior shot a 73 at the Martha’s Vineyard Invitational and helped Nauset win the Cape Cod Schoolboy Championship. Campbell was a medalist at the 2018 South Sectional.

ETHAN DOYLE, SALEM

The Northeastern Conference Player of the Year and three-time All-Conference team member had a 14-0 match record this season. The junior captain qualified as an individual for the state finals. The 2019 NEPGA Junior Four (16-18) Player of the Year plans to play golf in college.

OWEN EGAN, WINCHESTER

The junior finished tied for third with a 75 in the Division 2 North sectionals and tied for fourth in the Division 2 state championships with a 74 as the Sachems carted home the Div. 2 team title. The Middlesex League All Star and Division 2 state champ also plays baseball. He hopes to play Division 1 golf in college after his senior year.

AIDAN EMMERICH, ST. MARY’S

The Catholic Central MVP led his team with a four-over 76 as his team won its third straight Division 3 state championship. The sophomore has led St. Mary’s to two Catholic Central championships. Emmerich competed in four AJGA events and placed in the top 25 in three of them.

MATTHEW EPSTEIN, HOPKINTON

The Tri-Valley League Large MVP for two straight seasons was a Division 2 South medalist with a 73. The senior captain was a part of state titles in 2017-18 for the Hillers and finished with a 65-8 record. He will play Division 1 golf at William & Mary in the fall.

COOPER EVANS, DOVER-SHERBORN

The Tri-Valley League Small MVP and three-time TVL first-team All Star won the Division 3 individual state championship with a one-under 71. The senior co-captain also shot a 76 and took second in the South sectionals. The honor roll student is undecided about his college plans.

JACOB FINARD, WESTON

The junior co-captain shot a three-under 69 to take home the Division 3 North individual championship. He tied for fourth with a two-over 74 in the Division 3 state championship. The three-time Dual County League All Star and member of the Student Council is hoping to play golf in college.

COOPER GRIFFIN, WESTON

The two-time Herald All-Scholastic and four-time Dual County League All Star finished second place in sectionals with a 75 and tied for fourth in states. The senior was named player of the match six times this season. Griffin also plays ice hockey and lacrosse and is undecided about his future plans.

SAM HOOD, SANDWICH

Hood shot a 74 to claim the Division 2 South sectional title. The two-time ACL and one-time Cape & Islands All-Star placed fifth in the Division 2 state championships in 2018. The junior plans to play collegiate golf.

WESTON JONES, LINCOLN-SUDBURY

The junior won the Division 1 individual state title with a two-under 70 which helped his team earn a Division 1 state championship. Jones qualified and played in the Massachusetts Amateur Men’s tournament and made it to the round of 16.

ALEX LANDRY, ST. JOHN’S PREP

The Catholic Conference All Star shot a one-under 73 to take second place in the Division 1 North sectional. The sophomore also placed eighth in the Division 1 state championship with a three-over 75. The honor roll student hopes to play Division 1 golf at the collegiate level.

MAC LEE, ANDOVER

The three-time Merrimack Valley Conference MVP was a captain the last two seasons and placed fourth in states his sophomore season. Lee ended his career with a 47-7-1 record. The senior made states all four years. He has committed to golf at Boston College in 2020.

JOSEPH LENANE, XAVERIAN

The Catholic Conference All Star is a two-time Catholic Conference champion and two-time top-5 finisher in the Division 1 state championship. During the season, Lenane boasted a scoring average of 37.1. The sophomore honor roll student wants to play golf in college.

TREVOR LOPEZ, WINCHESTER

The Middlesex League shootout winner and Division 2 state champion was named to the Middlesex League All-Star team for the second time. His performance at the states played a key part in the Sachems’ winning the Div. 2 team title. The former Middlesex League MVP is committed to play golf at UConn in 2021.

DAN MILLS, BISHOP FEEHAN

The Eastern Athletic Conference All Star shot a 77 for sixth overall in the Division 2 South sectionals as well as a 73 to finish third in the individual Division 2 state championship. The senior is an honor roll student and plans to study business in the fall.

JACK O’DONNELL, BC HIGH

The senior tied for fifth in the Division 1 South sectional. He won the Golfweek title for 2019 and played in the U.S. Junior Amateur tournament. A part of the 2017 state team championship, O’Donnell is an honor roll student. O’Donnell is going to the University of Michigan to play golf next year.

JAMES ROBBINS, NORTH ANDOVER

The sophomore shot a one-under 71 to claim the Division 1 North sectional individual title. He shot a four-over 76 to finish tied for 11th at the Division 1 state championship. Robbins hopes to play Division 1 or 3 golf at the collegiate level in 2022.

MOLLY SMITH, WESTFORD ACADEMY

The freshman opened some eyes with her play in the postseason. Smith shot a 76 at the Div. 1 North sectionals, then followed it up by shooting a 72 in the Div. 1 state meet. The honor roll student also plays basketball and plans to study Journalism/English in 2023.

COLIN SPENCER, MASHPEE

The South Shore League Player of the Year and three-time South Shore League All Star placed second at the Division 3 individual state championships after falling in the playoff hole. The sophomore also won the Division 3 South sectional title. He also plays basketball and is a National Technical Honor Society member.

MICHAEL THORBJORNSEN, WELLESLEY

The 2018 U.S. Junior Amateur at Baltusrol Golf Club, Thorbjornsen qualified for the U.S. Open and made the cut. He turned his attention to high school golf this past season and captured the Div. 1 South sectional title and finished second in the state meet. He will golf at Stanford in the fall.
