RESULTS | ABOUT CHATTANOOGA GOLF

MOBILE---The Chattanooga Mocs finished 13th the first time out this spring. They turned in a final round 294 to finish 54 holes at Magnolia Falls Crossings Course for a final total of 878.

A.J. Lintunen had the low tally today with 2-under 70. Will Porter nearly matched him at 71, while Dominic Jones had 76 with twins 77s for Moritz Lammel and Leon Bader.

Lintunen and Porter completed their two days at 1-under 215 which tied for 33rd. Lammel ended at 220 with 228 for Jones and 232 by Bader.

It was a blemish-free card for Lintunen. He opened on No. 10 with five straight pars before back-to-back birdies at 15 and 16. That was followed by a steady stream of pars for his seventh par or better 18 round of the year. Porter had four birdies ending up with 11 over three cards for his third tournament with double-digit birds.

Florida State won by one shot over Illinois and two clear of Louisville in third. The Seminoles John Pak defended his medalist win from a year ago with a blistering 15-under 201. The Mocs are back in action Feb. 22-23 at the Seminole Intercollegiate.

3 NOTES TO KNOW

New season-high for pars in a tournament with 141 besting 132 at the Graeme McDowell Invite. 14 under on the par 5s matches the the top total on the year at the Alister Mackenzie.
Lintunen turned in a perfect card today with two birdies and 16 pars when best his own top round by a Moc of 15 in round two of the Graeme McDowell. 42 pars also tops his 38 for 54 holes at the McDowell.
Lintunen's 215 is a new career low. Second straight par or better outing. It's Porter's second dropping his team-low scoring average to 73.28.
