X-Golf Teams Up With Make-A-Wish for Super Bowl Party - 9&10 News

A Traverse City business opened its doors for a good cause on Super Bowl Sunday.

X-Golf came together with the Make-a-Wish Foundation to host a Super Bowl party.

“Its’s dear to me because I work hospice. And so Make-A-Wish is very important because it grants wishes for these kids. I know there’s a couple of kids here in town that are looking to do something special and it’s going to take some money,” said X-Golf co-owner Bobbie Hart.

She and Scott Hart are the owners of X-Golf.

Bobbie Hart says, “Actually, one of the gals on our Thursday night league came up to me and asked me if we’d be interested.”

For the Harts, the answer was clear.

“I said absolutely, let’s make it a whole Super Bowl Make-A-Wish party,” Bobbie said.

They agreed all of the money made for the night would be donated to Make-A-Wish.

“So anybody that comes in and books a sim during the Super Bowl time, we will be donating their entry fee, $5 entry fee, to Make-A-Wish,” Bobbie said.

The couple says this is just a small contribution to an organization that does so much.

Scott says, “We heard about three different kids that were looking for assistance. It’s $6,000 per child for these events. That’s a lot of money to try to raise just from scratch.”

The Harts say they were more than prepared for everyone to enjoy the game.

“Golf, food, beer, full liquor bar, and 11 big-screen TVs to watch the game,” Scott says.

X-Golf says more than 75 people registered for the event.
